So I hope everyone in blogland had a fantastic Christmas with family and loved ones. I only worked last Tuesday so I had an extremely long break and used the week to do my Christmas shopping and I also used the time to finish my book. This book is addicting and I told myself I had to finish it before I saw the movie.
I also had a great time with my sweet nieces.
Mom and I thought it would be a good idea to set up the girls
playhouse and they could take their naps inside.
Listen, if you set up a playhouse, the last thing children want to do is sleep.
Stupid mistake. But they had loads of fun playing and I managed to squeeze in...
Riley snuck in the playhouse too.
We also went lookin' at Christmas lights last week.
There is a house in my old neighborhood that has the coolest decorations
and it seriously always has a line of cars waiting to look at it.
Ok.. so now on to why I'm scared of my Christmas present. I may sound a little cray cray but stay with me, I have a point.
I have been without a smart phone for my whole life
and been doing just fine.
Don't get me wrong, I have for sure been wanting
an iPhone and it clearly has been a huge success in this world, obviously.
I hear people say I don't know what I would do without it. And that's cool.
However, one of my biggest pet peeves
(and forget you if you are one of those people
who say my biggest pet peeve is people who have pet peeves),
is when people are CONSTANTLY on their phones.
When I am trying to speak to you, look at me in the EYE
and let me know you hear what I am saying.
Don't text the entire time you asked me to come hang out with you.
I would ride the bus to school in the morning and could look around and everyone would be looking directly down in their laps at a phone. Speak to people! Be human.
So why am I scared? Because I got an iPhone and I don't want to become one of those people. You may say, then don't become one of those people.... but guess what? This phone is really cool.....
